For daring to preach in front of their brothel,a group of prostitutes on Lagos have beaten a Pastor to coma.
The man identified as Evangelist Mathew 36, of a popular church in Ejigbo was said to have gone to the hotel premises where the commercial sex workers live to preach.
According to eyewitness account,” trouble started when the Man of God who stood at a close range to the brothel, Golden hotel, began to preach to the women and their male clients to forsaken their sinful ways and turn to God for deliverance and salvation.”
Angered by the Evangelist’s constant castigations of their illicit trade, the women murmured among themselves When it became clear to them that the preacher was in no hurry to end his sermon and leave the premises,One of the women, Hannah said to be notorious in the club, angrily brought out a bucket of water and poured the Man of God.
As he was still trying to figure out what was happening to him, another woman advanced towards him, grabbed and pushed him towards the gutter and was reportedly saved by passers-by
The Man of God who regularly visited the area to preach repentance using Bible verses Corrintians 6,18-20, and Proverb 6 verse 32 was said to have simply described the women as daughters of Jezebel and did not make any attempt to fight back.
