Gunmen on Monday, invaded Damba-Kasaya community in Chukun Local Government Area of Kaduna State Killing one and abducted JSS students of Prince Academy, Kaduna.
An eyewitness said the attackers in their usual numbers,invaded the community on motorbikes at about 8 o’clock in the morning and abducted many of the villagers before storming on Prince Academy to abduct Junior School Students who were receiving lessons preparatory to their final exams.
According to eyewitness, the criminals shot sporadically and destroyed musical and public address system belonging to Aminchi Baptist Church.
As vigilante group in the community pursued the gunmen, one of the villagers was killed.The number of those kidnapped were said to be many although not specified at the time of the report.
Chikun local government area of Kaduna State along with other Southern Kaduna communites have seen large scale criminal activities such as Kidnapping, killing and destruction of properties by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.
A couple of days ago,a truce was reached between dissenting voices in Kaduna State.
With the renewed Kidnapping and killing in the state,it is feared that the worst is yet to come.
