
The United States Embassy and Consulate General will be closed on Monday, July 4th to celebrate the U. S 246th Independence Day holiday,U.S Mission In Nigeria says.
The Mission in a statement via Twitter on Sunday said the holiday is in remembrance of the U.S Declaration of Independence July 4,1776.which signified Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness .

The declaration of independence adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4 1776, motivated Colonies to sever political ties with Great Britain and set the stage for freedom.
