
The International Monetary Fund ( IMF) on Friday said Nigeria and other countries in Africa are vulnerable to high food and fuel prices,low revenues and difficulty in accessing the international capital market as a result of the war in Ukraine.
IMF Managing Director,Ms Kristaina Georgevia made this known on the organization’s website after meeting with African Ministers of Finance, financial organisations including Central Bank Governors in the continent and representatives from the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa on the impact of the crisis in Ukraine.
According to her,” the war in Ukraine is devastating the lives of millions of people and severely affecting the Ukrainian economy.”
