Breaking: Gunmen attack police stations,army formations along Ikwerre LGA killing several security personnel 

Gunmen suspected to be members of the indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network ( ESN) are attacking police stations and army locations along Ikwerre Local Government Area( LGA) of Rivers State killing scores of policemen and soldiers

An eye witness said the gunmen stormed the area in combatant form and overran police stations and Army check points killing several personnel.

Communites along the crisis routes are said to be deserted while travellers are caught in the cross fire.

Ikwerre Local Government Area is a border lga linking Imo .

The Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the attack to newsmen. He however, did not give any casually figure .
