President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated the immediate past service chiefs as non -career ambassadors.
Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, in Abuja.
The former chiefs are, General Abayomi Olonisakin,former Defence chief, Lieutenant General,Tukur Burutai,former Army chief, and Vice Admiral,Ibok-Ete Ibas, former Chief of Naval Staff
Others are Air Marshall Sadique Abubakar,former Chief of Air Staff and Air Vice Marshall, Mohammed Usman,former Chief of Defence Intelligence.
Adesina said that the President has forwarded the named of the nominees to Senate for confirmation as non career ambassadors .
The President appealed to the Senate to give speedy consideration to the nominations
