Death of “Okadaman” in Ibadan sets up clash between okada riders and prison officials 

Tension reportedly high in Ibadan,Oyo State capital, following a clash between commercial motorcyclists popularly known as Okadamen.

Current matters learnt that trouble started after a vehicle belonging to the Agodi prison knocked down an okadaman, killing him afterwards.

The Okadamen were said to have mobilised to the prison gate to demonstrate their anger on the ill-treatment and killing of their member after the prison officials failed to handle the situation properly.

The Agodi prison area is reportedly currently deserted as fear grip residents and passer -bys of being caught up in a cross fire.
