The Gombe state House of Assembly has impeached Speaker, Abubakar Sadiq Ibrahim Kurba.
Kurba was removed from office by 16 out of the 24 members of the House.
The Deputy Speaker of the House,Siddi Buba presided over the proceedings which also saw the impeachment of the majority leader and his replacement as well as election of new Speaker.
The new speaker, Abubakar Muhammed Luggerewol represents Akko Central constituency and was elected by 15 members of the House.
Similarly,Yarima Ladan Gaule of Kaltungo East constituency was chosen to replace Samuel Marcus representing Pero-Chonge as leader of the House.
