
The Acting Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Ahmed Muazu has held a meeting with Chairmen of political parties over the bye-elections postponed as a result of the security situation across the country .
A total of 15 bye-elections are pending in 11 states across the country.
INEC under Professor Mamood Yakubu, had on October 22, postponed the bye- elections scheduled for October 31,2020 in the wake of the#EndSARs protests across the country.
Muazu who stepped into Yakubu’s shoes in Acting capacity on Monday after the later ‘s tenure came to an end, challenged leaders of political parties to review the conduct of the recent election in Edo and Ondo States and make recommendations for quality outcomes.
