Anambra businesman,Prince Arthur Eze, has described. as irresponsible the call by the Minister of Labour, Employment and Productivity,Dr Chris Ngige that he (Eze) and the 12 traditional rulers who visited President Buhari, should be banished by Willie Obiano ,governor of Anambra State.
Eze has therefore warned that if Ngige makes further unpleasant remarks against him again,he will expose him as he has documents at his disposal to do so.
The business tycoon who spoke through his media directorate headed by Okpala Okechukwu, said that the call for banishment was callous, derogatory and most unfortunate and wonders how a minister and a former governor can wake up from slumber over night and start calling on a state governor to banish traditional rulers, whose only offence was that they took a trip to Abuja to commend his boss,, the President, for the magnificent jobs he is doing for the people of their geo-political zone.
According to him,”Dr Ngige as a minister did not take time to study the underground colourations given to the trip for political reasons by the state government”
Exe who dismissed the call lacking legal or constitutional backing said that the minister ought to know that no section of the Nigerian Constitution empowers a state governor to banish or trample on the fundamental human rights of any Nigerian citizen as enshrined in the constitution adding”Any governor that attempts to heed to Dr Ngige’s call certainly should be taking an action that is against the letters and spirit of the Nigerian constitution.”
” Let is warn that if Chris Ngige makes any further unpleasant statement against our principal,we shall be left with no option than to publish some facts and materials at our disposal which will shock Nigerians on the person and individual known as the labour minister.”
