ratification of the election of the New Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folashade Ogunsola.

Trouble started when the the former Vice Chancellor, Professor Toyjn Ogundipe was suspended by the governing council,a move which allowed all comers within the institution and outside to enter the fray.prompting a battle for the soul of the University.
President Buhari had asked Ogundipe and Wale Babalakin, the Pro- Chancellor to step aside and directed the Senate of the institution to convene and nominate an acting Vice Chancellor among the members for the confirmation by the
university council
In line with the President,’s directive, the Senate organised an election which declared Folashade Ogunsola as winner having polled 135 votes out of 167 to beat her closest challenger who polled 31 votes with one vote declared .void .
