Former Speaker of the House of Representatives,Yakubu Dogara,resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic party and once again re-united with the APC, the Party he parted ways with, two years ago.
Dogara had met with Mr President on Friday possibly to announce his re-entrance to the ruling Party.
However a number of political calculations have trailed his defection since the news broke .
Many had observed that since the former Speaker was re-elected to the House of Representatives, his role has no definition though he is a ranking member.
Also he is said to be sidelined in his home state Bauchi where there appeared to be no love lost between the governor and the former Speaker.
The governor is believed to frustrate any aspiration of the former speaker that goes beyond the House of Representatives because
he feared that it could prove disastrous to his ambition in future
Sources in Bauchi said that Governor’Bala Mohammed even succeeded in causing a split between Dogara and his friend,Prof.Suleiman Elias Bogoro who through the governor, was appointed Executive Secretary of Tetfund ..
Dogara, a Christian minority from Sayawa in Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi state was reportedly ostracized by the PDP government and his come back to the APC is believed to be a launch to reposition himself to wrest power from the PDP government in Bauchi state.
Meanwhile the APC has welcomed Dogara”s return with open arms
The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee and Governor of Yobe State,Mai Mala Buni,said that the party is on a mission to reconcile all agrieved persons who are ready to come back to the party.
He said that Dogara is back and the President is happy with the development .
