Researchers on Tuesday said that a woman who returned from US has infected about 71 people in China.
Reports indicated that the woman returned to Heilongiang Province after a trip to the US on March 19. She had no symptoms and tested negative for coronavirus but was asked to quarantine at home.
The report contained in the Centre for Disease Journal said that no one expected that anything was wrong until a man with no obvious connection to the traveller suffered a stroke. It turns out that he had attended a party with relatives of a neighbour in the same building as the traveller.
The findings revealed that neighbours who used same elevator tested positive for coronavirus.
