The Nigerian Navy in Port Harcourt have seized 3 badges from illegal bunkering operations.
Accordingly the badges have been handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital.
The Executive Officer, Nigerian Navy Ship Pathfinder, Captain Adegoke Ebo said that the badges, Destiny Bright 1, Furo 1 and an unnamed vessel, were illegally transporting unspecified quantity of adulterated diesel and stolen crude oil to unknown destinations before they were seized.
Ebo said that naval operatives were unable to make arrests as the bukerers abandoned the badges on sighting the Navy gunboats.
