
The primary election it was gathered held and the Incumbent governor, Rotimi Ajeredolu was declared but INEC rejected the Election because the party did not follow due process .
INEC said that the All Progressives Congress in the state did not duly notify the Commission as it was required by law regarding your notification letters to the commission.
According to INEC, the letter for the notice of Primary election was supposed to be written to two ofices but the party failed to do so even as the commission warned that the results of the elections would not count.
However the Electoral Commission has asked the Party to reorganise another primary in compliance with set rules.
