President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured that the victims of the Kaduna and Borno abductions would be rescued.
On Thursday, Bandits invaded Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State and abducted 287 students and pupils of the LEA Primary and Secondary Schools.
Also, within the week, gunmen suspected to be members of the Islamic State of West African Province ISWAP abducted 50 women who were collecting firewood in a Borno community and made them walk through the bushes to the Republic of Chad .
Reacting to the incidents on X, Friday ,the president wrote;
“I have received briefings from security chiefs on the two incidents in Borno and Kaduna, and I am confident that the victims will be rescued. Nothing else is acceptable to me and the waiting family members of these abducted citizens. Justice will be decisively administered.
“To this end, I have directed security and intelligence agencies to immediately rescue the victims and ensure that justice is served against the perpetrators of these abominable acts.
“I sympathize with the families of the victims, and assure them that they would soon be reunited with their loved ones.
