
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the dates for the off-cycle governorship elections in Edo and Ondo states in 2024.
The National Commissioner and Chairman of Information and Voter Education Commitee, Mr Sam Olumekun mni, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement said the Edo governorship election is scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 21, 2024 while that of Ondo will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Meanwhile, the off-cycle governorship election for 2023 will hold in three states – Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi.
INEC announced Monday that it is set for mock accreditation in the states using the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System BVAS across the states the election would hold.
