The Court of Appeal in Abuja has discharged and acquitted leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu,
The development was confirmed by Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, one of Kanu’s lawyers on his Facebook page Thursday evening.
The court held that the “extraordinary rendition” of Kanu from Kenya is declared illegal and consequently constitutes a bar to further trial.
