Following rising xenophobic tensions in South Africa, Nigeria has successfully evacuated all citizens willing to come home.
According to reports from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the final batch of Nigerians arrived in Lagos on Wednesday.
They were transported aboard an Air Peace flight, which landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at about 11:28 a.m.
Earlier , six evacuation flights, had brought home hundreds of Nigerians from South Africa
In June,the Federal Government disclosed that Air Peace evacuation flights had been approved after more than 500 Nigerians were screened for repatriation.
