
Former Vice President of the Peoples Democratic Party ( South South) Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, is dead.
His passing was reportedly announced in a statement signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, Esq., on behalf of the Orbih family.
The family said the statement was made with “profound sadness and a heavy heart but in total submission to the will of the almighty God.”
According to the family statement,Orbih died on Monday, 31st August 2026 at the age of 64.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Florence Orbih; his children, Ms Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr Mildred Omonemi Orbih; his brothers and sisters; and other members of the extended family.
“At this difficult time, we ask family members, friends and well-wishers to remember the entire family in their prayers as we mourn this painful loss,” the statement read, adding that further details, including funeral arrangements, would be announced in due course.
Orbih was born on October 27,1961, in Ogbona,Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State. He was the Chairman of the PDP in Edo and rose to become National Vice Chairman of the party,. South South
