
The Okumagbe – Elect of Uwanno Kingdom, Edo State, HRM, Senator Francis Alimikhena, has disclosed that his Coronation will take place in May at Agenebode, Etsako East LG of Edo State.
Senator Chief Alimikhena stated this in Abuja on Saturday while addressing delegates from two Edo Groups that came to pay homage and congratulatory visit.
The groups, Uwanno Council of Title Chiefs, FCT, led by Snr High Chief Clement Omozuapo, and Association of Edo Community Leaders, FCT, led by Mr Charles Oboh, used the opportunity to present separate Letters of Congratulatory message to Senator Alimikhena on his selection.
One of the letters read in part, “Warmest congratulations on your recent selection as the Okumagbe of Uwanno Kingdom. May your reign be marked by wisdom, justice and prosperity for the Uwanno people. Wishing you strength and divine guidance as you lead with honour and integrity. Long live the King”.
In response, the Okumagbe elect, who was in high spirit and beaming with smiles, thanked and appreciated the groups for the gesture.
He assured and promised in his words, ” I will not let anybody down”.
Other dignitaries in attendance include Snr High Chiefs Pat Alegieuno, Peter Dokpesi, Moses Iyere, Haruna Ichoji, Peter Oleghe, Chief Mrs Betty Bello Itepu(Mama Edo), Engr Momeh, Amb Barth Ikiebe to mention but few.
Our Correspondent reports that Governor Monday Okpebolo of Edo State has since approved and ratified the nomination.
