President Bola Tinubu has conferred national honour, Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic on Bill Gates, American Businessman and Co -Founder of Microsoft.
The 69- year old mega billionaire and co – chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation recently vowed to give most of his $200Billion fortune to Africa.
Gates,had through his foundation prioritised improving equity, healthcare, education, and climate change in vulnerable areas of the world including Africa.
In September,2024, Gates, during a trip to Nigeria announced a $2.8Billion investment for Nigeria, aimed at tackling health issues, agricultural and nutritional challenges.
