
Vice President Kashim Shettima, has travelled to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire to support the Super Eagles of Nigeria as they take on South Africa in the semi-final of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
A statement issued by the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha, said Shettima left Abuja for Abidjan on Wednesday at the instance of President Bola Tinubu.
The match which will decide a finalist of the two countries will be played at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake, Côte d’Ivoire later this evening.
Vice President Shettima’s visit to Côte d’Ivoire is expected to boost the morale of the Super Eagles and further arouse national consciousness ,unity and support.
