The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended all the wet-leased aircraft in the operations of United Nigeria Airlines (UNA).
The suspension comes a day after an aircraft belonging to the Airlines flying from Lagos to Abuja, landed in Asaba, the Delta state capital.
On Landing in Asaba, the cabin crew of Flight NUA 0504 reportedly announced to the Abuja – bound passengers that they were in Abuja but later apologised for the diversion citing bad weather at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport,Abuja.
It was gathered that the suspension of the airline’s wet- leased aircraft was the outcome of an emergency meeting held at NCAA’s headquarters in Abuja on Monday.
Current matters further gathered that investigation is ongoing even as a letter containing the suspension of all wet – lease aircraft had been communicated to the United Nigeria Airlines.
