
The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has reaffirmed Governor Bassey Otu as the winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship election in Cross River State.
The Court dismissed the appeal filed by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Sandy Onor, for lack of merit..
Reacting to the judgement in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel Ogbeche, Governor Otu
said, “This ruling should bring an end to litigation on the outcome of the governorship election.
The governor therefore extended a hand of friendship to the opposition, especially, the People’ s Democratic Party’s candidate, Prof. Sandy Onor to join his administration to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
