Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday announced that he and his wife Sophie have signed a legal agreement to seperate .
Trudeau who made the announcement on his Instagram account said “after many meaningful and difficult conversations” with Sophie,”we have made the decision to separate.”
“As always, we remain a close family with deep love and respect for each other and for everything we have built and will continue to build”
He asked that their privacy be respected
“For the well-being of our children, we ask that you respect our and their privacy. Thank you.
Trudeau met Sophie when he returned to Montreal in 2002 after several years teaching in Vancouver . They got married in 2005.and are proud parents of three children.
