
British Prime Minister,Liz Truss has resigned from office.
Truss announced her resignation on Thursday during a press briefing outside Downing Street.
By her resignation,Truss becomes the second leader of the Conservative party to leave office before the expiration of ttenure.
She will be remembered as the shortest serving Prime Minister in British history having being in office for just forty five days.
Truss won the Conservative party leadership following the resignation of Boris Johnson and subsequently became the British Prime Minister on September 6.
Prior to her resignation,no fewer than 13 parliamentarians from the’ Conservative Party had insisted she must step down for failing to address the biting economic challenges of the country.
