
Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum has asked the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to deploy able men from the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS to his state to fight terrorism.
The governor made this request on Tuesday ,when he received the Minister of Interior ,Rauf Aregbesola.
Zulum said the call became neccessary in view of the mark SARS had made in the fight against insurgency.
He condemned the act of brutality by any security agencies but said that the efforts of SARS operatives in the counter insurgency operations
need not be overemphasized
According to him, the presence of SARS and efforts in the state have greatly complemented the efforts of the Military.
