Top personalities including former Head of State,Yakubu Gowon, Former Presidents, Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President,Yemi Osinbajo are attending the funeral service in honour of Chief Ernest Shonekan,
The service holding at the Cathedral Church of Christ ,Marina, Lagos also has in attendance are Governors, Members of the National Assembly and Ministers.
Shonekan, was former Head of the Interim National Government from 26 August 1993- 17 November,1993 . He died on January 11, 2022 at age 85.
