
… Lifts ban on some countries
The Nigerian Government has fixed December 1 as deadline for civil servants to take COVID-19 vaccine.
This was announced by Mr Boss Mustapha, Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee ( PSC) on Covid-19, at a briefing in Wednesday in Abuja.
He said ” With effect from 1 st December,2021 all Federal Government employees shall be required to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination,or present a negative Covid-19 test result done within 72 hours to gain access to their offices in alk locations within Nigeria and our Missions”
The SGF said a circular will be issued to guide the process.
Mustapha disclosed that the government has removed South Africa, Brazil and Turkey from the list of restricted countries following the Covid-19 pandemic.
He added that the government took the decision to lift the restriction following an emergency meeting held before the PSC briefing.
