The Federal Capital Territory FCT Police Command said it has arrested one Matthew Vaasman, a suspected supplier of firearms to kidnap syndicates operating along Tungun Maje in the Federal Capital Territory FCT and Gawu area of Niger State.
In a statement on Sunday, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Yusuf Mariam said that the suspect confessed to the crime after his arrest at Tipper Garage in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The Spokesperson said items recovered from the suspect include two single- barrel Dane guns and two locally fabricated shotguns adding that efforts are on to apprehend fleeing suspects.
