
The Commissioner for Public Utilities in Anambra State, Emeka Ezenwanne has regained his freedom.
Ezenwanne was kidnapped by gunmen on March 31 after a bloody battle which killed three security aides of former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Chukwuma Solufo at Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the release said Ezenwanne was released on Sunday unhurt.
Ikenga said the release was the result of intensely search and rescue efforts which had closed in on his abduction, thereby forcing his release “
The Police Command had arrested five persons in connection with the incident.
