World leaders recognize America’s President-elect,Biden
World leaders have gone ahead to recognise the election of Joe Biden as President -elect of the United States of America even as President Trump says he would not concede defeat.
The Predident who is only serving an only term as president as the polls revealed said he is going to court on Monday to challenge the victory of Biden.
He alleged irregularities in the electoral process and tweeted’I won this election by a lot”
He also tweeted”Beginning Monday,our campaign will start prosecting our case in court to ensure election laws are fully upheld and the rightful winner is seated”
However, Trump’s allies in the world have expressed their interest in working with the President-elect.
Among them is Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu who congratulated Joe Biden and Vice President-elect, Kamala Harris. He tweeted”Joe we’ve had a long and warm personal relationship for nearly 40 years, and I know you as a great friend of Israel.I look forward to working with both of you to further strengthen the special alliance between the U. S. and Israel.”
He also tweeted thanking Donald Trump for the friendship you have shown the state of Israel and me personally, for recognizing Jerusalem and the Golan, for standing up to Iran, for the historic peace accords and for bringing the American-Israeli alliance to unprecedented heights.
British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson said,he looks forward to “working closely with the President-elect on our shared priorities from climate change to trade and security.”
German’s Chancellor, Angela Merkel has also congratulated Biden and Kamala for the historic victory.
She especially lauded Harris for being elected the first American female Vice President
Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau who was the first to congratulate Biden said he would’ “work with the U.S. to advance peace and inclusion, economic prosperity and climate action around the world.”
Irish Prime Minister, Michael Martin recalled Biden’s Irish-American heritage saying” Joe Biden has been a true friend of this nation throughout his life and I look forward to working with him in the years ahead .I also look forward to welcoming him back home when the circumstances allow.”
For Australian Prime Minister,Scot Morrison, the President-elect has been a great friend of Australia over many years. He noted that” Biden will step into the role at a crucial time as the world battles the Covid-19 pandemic
“American leadership is indispensable to meeting these challenges and upholding the rules,norms and standards of our international community” he said
President Moon Jae-in of South Korea tweeted that he looked forward to working with Biden and Harris in respect of their shared values adding”Our alliance is
strong and the bond between our countries is rock solid.”
Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has also congratulated the President-elect,
Buhari described Biden’s election as a significant reminder that democracy is the best form of government because it offers the people the opportunity to change their government by peaceful means.
He called on Biden to promote greater engagement with Africa on the basis of reciprocal respects and common interests.”
