
An Ekiti Magistrate Court has remanded 3 men ,Kola Fatoye,Abimbola Fatoye and Ahmed Ojo, in prison custody for exhuming 10 corpses and beheading them for ritual.
According to the police prosecutor, Monica Ikebuilo ,the defendants committed the offence between March and September 2020 in Orun – Ekiti Ekiti State.
The prosecutor prayed the court to remand the defendants in correctional center pending issuance of legal service from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution.(DPP,).with that ,the plea of the 3 men accused of contravening sections of the Criminal Code ,Laws of Ekiti State were not taken.
Following the prayers of the police counsel ,the Chief Magistrate, Adefumike Anoma ordered that the defendants be remanded in the correction centre pending issuance of legal advice. She then adjourned the case until November 6 for mention.
