More trouble brewing as Police Service Commission orders IGP to provide Presidential approval for creation of new Zonal commands 

Police Service Commission (PSC )has stayed action on the promotion of 112 officers The commission has also ordered the Inspector General of Police,( IGP) Mohammed Adamu,to provide the presidential approval of the creation of new Zonal commands.

In its 9th plenary meeting in Abuja,presided over by its Chairman Musuliu Smith, the PSC said the affected officers drawn from new commands will not be promoted until the IGP’provides the presidential authorisation.

.The Commission has however approved the promotion of 175 senior police officers including AIG Sanusi Lemu who has been promoted to DIG representing the north central.
