Unidentified gunmen on Saturday kidnapped a female paediatrician attached to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital UCTH in Calabar Municipal Local Government Area of Cross Rivers State.
The victim, Doctor Vivien Otu was said to have gone to eat in a restaurant called”Belash” along Marian road when she was kidnapped.
Having had her meal,,She was about to enter her car when the gunmen stormed the food premises in a vehicle, shot in the air and took her away.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo ,confirmed the incident and said the command is doing all it can to get the victim released while her abductors would be prosecuted.
