The Police have arrested a 40year old man at the Baruwa area of Ipaja,Lagos, for concerting his underaged daughter to “wife” for 3 years.
The suspect identified as Gbenga ,a staff of an Electricity Distribution Company was said to have sexually abused his daughter since his wife died three years ago.
It was gathered that the girl who is now 15, had reported her father’s illicit behavior to the Landlord but the Landlord did not report the matter to the police as he only confronted her father, urging him to desist from the evil acts against his daughter.
Inspite of the landlord’s warning, the father continued the abuse of his daughter to the extent that he started
taking her to work whenever he was on night duty.
It was further learnt that it was a member of the community who reported the matter to the police after overhearing the girl’s maternal uncle,Atanda, screaming about the discovered incest.
