A bus carrying carrying passengers have somersaulted in Ogun axis of the Lagos/Ibadan highway killing no fewer than 3 passengers including a toddler and a six year old girl.
Among those injured were two males and 4 females.
It was gathered that the ill-fated bus was travelling from Kwara State when the crashed , leaving two passengers dead on the spot while another died on the way to the hospital.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday about 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Youth Camp,enroute Lagos when the Mazda bus with number plate,FUF 109 ZD had a tyre burst and somersaulted.
The injured were rushed to the Idera hospital in Sagamu Ogun State, while the remains of the dead were to a morgue also in Sagamu.
Reacting to the incident, the Public Relations Officer, Ogun State, Traffic, Compliance and Enforcement Agency (Trace),Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident and commiserated with the bereaved families.
Akinbiyi urged motorists to desist from over -inflating and under – inflating vehicle tyres as well as stop overspeeding at diversion and construction zones as the consequences are grave.
