Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday announced that Russia has launched the first vaccine against coronavirus in the world.
Putin who spoke on National Television said the vaccine works quite effectively and forms stable immunity and hoped that other vaccines being developed around the world would appear soon on the international market for use.
” I know that it works quite effectively,it forms a stable immunity.”
I hope our foreign colleagues work will move as well, and a lot of products will appear on an international market that could be used”
The vaccine was developed by Moscow-based Gamaleya institute and named Sputnik-V in reference to the world’s first satellite launched by the Soviet Union in 1957..
Putin claimed that one of his daughters had already taken the vaccine,he said she developed slightly higher temperature after each dose but became stable
The vaccine is reportedly not gone through third phase where it would be administered to lots of people.
This is a very great and wonderful news. We all welcome it.
I’m not surprised that Russia was the first country to launch this. The country is one of the greatest and scientifically advanced in the world.
