President Bola Tinubu has removed the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, from the Treasury Single Account, TSA. to allow way the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory FCT to utilize the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the territory for the development of the nation’s capital.
The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike made this known at a news conference on Friday in Abuja.
The Minister also disclosed that the President has approved the creation of the FCT Civil Service Commission to make way for staff career progression.
In view of this, the FCT under Wike’s administration would have an unfettered generation of the Territory ‘s IGR , Utilisation of the finances and managing its newly created Civil Service Commission.
The development is seen as the first to happen in the FCTA
