The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board,JAMB has withheld the results of 39,834 candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME exercise earlier this year
JAMB Registrar, Prof.Ishaq Oloyede disclosed this in a statementt following the release of the results on Friday, May 9,
The announcement comes days after the Board announced that a total of 1.9 million candidates sat for the examination across the country
According to JAMB 75% of candidates scored below the 200 benchmark,out of which, , 467 underage candidates met the prescribed minimum score
The Board added that 50 students were arrested for cheating while no fewer than 80 candidates are being investigated for engaging in malpractice during the examination
The exam was held in over 784 Computer – based centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
