Police in Delta have confirmed the abduction of four children identified as Ebube,Miracle ( siblings) and Chiamanda and Excel.
The victims were kidnapped in Umuokwe area of Ugwashi Uku in the state .
The children allegedly disappeared after three women who recently moved into a rented apartment in the neighborhood suddenly left with no traces of their whereabouts .
Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command,SP Bright Edafe said ” The troubling part is that there is no trace,no names,no phone numbers,no identification of any sort. They rented the apartment and just three days later, vanished with four children ‘
Edafe said the owner of the rented building has been arrested stating ” The Landlady ‘s arrest is based on her negligence and the suspicious nature of her dealings with the tenants”
Meanwhile, the incident is said to have sent shock and disbelief to the entire neighborhood as search and rescue mission gets underway.
