Rivers State Governor, Siminilayi Fubara has suspended the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Akuku – Toru Local Government Council, Barrister Otonye Briggs with immediate effect.
The Governor has directed Hon. Bitebobo Nelson Amieye to replace him.
A statement issued by Nelson Chukwudi , the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Tuesday,17 September,2024 said Briggs” is hereby directed to handover all council property in his possession to the Caretaker Committee Chairman”
