The Federal Ministry of Health through Port Health Service has introduced a Health Declaration to be completed by all travellers arriving and departing the country
The decision is with effect from Today, Thursday, August 15,2024.at Lagos and Abuja stations.
All travellers arriving or departing the country are advised to go online and complete the form before boarding.
The World Health Organisation on Wednesday declared MonkeyPox, Mpox a global health emergency concern.
WHO Director – General,Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus addressed a press conference where he stated that the” emergency committee met and said the” situation constitutes a public health emergency of international concern emergency meeting of committee of experts adding ” I have accepted their advice.
Mpox,an infectious disease was first discovered in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1970 .
According to the WHO chief, the disease has claimed 524 lives with 14,000 cases reported for this year.
