The Minister of Women Affairs,Barrister Uju Kennedy – Ohanenye has announced a one million naira reward for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of Magnus Okpalannadi, a 62-year-old man, based in Onitsha, Anambra State.
In a statement on Wednesday signed by the Head, Information and Public Relations, Grace Njoku , the Minister stated that Okpalannadi was accused of defiling his three-year-old daughter, and is currently on the run.
The statement, quoted the Women Affairs Minister as saying that the child abuser had been sexually molesting his little daughter for a while.
The Minister said”The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Administration has zero tolerance for child abuse and molestation and would therefore ensure the immediate prosecution of the paedophile to serve as a deterrent to would-be perpetrators.
“Government is committed to creating an enabling environment for the well-being of every Nigerian child, woman and the vulnerable in society.”
