
Former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, Godwin Emefiele has reportedly been freed from the Department of State Services DSS custody
Current matters reports that Emefiele was released Thursday night and has been handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, for further interrogations.
Emefiele was the governor of the CBN from June 3,2014 until June 9 when the government of President Bola Tinubu suspended him from office for alleged grave financial offences.
His release comes a few days after Abdulrasheed Bawa, Former EFCC Chairman was released after being in the custody of the DSS for more than 5 months.
