The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, says that the leadership of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot suspend or discipline him insisting that he told them before he accepted the appointment.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Wednesday evening ,Wike,a former governor of Rivers State said no one in the PDP can suspend or expel him from the party affirming that he remains a Chieftain of the PDP but working for the APC government to enable President Bola Tinubu to succeed.
He said “How can anyone suspend me when I have a governor, three Senators, House of Representatives and thirty two Members in the State House of Assembly?
Wike was appointed Minister of the FCT by President Tinubu and assumed duty after taking the oath of office on Monday last week.
