A magistrate court in Zuba ,Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has denied the bail of Obiajulu Ujah, a passenger of Ibom Air who protested the swearing in of the President -elect,Bola Tinubu
Senior Magistrate of the Court, Mohammed Abdulazeez Ismail , while giving his verdict on the bail application filed by Uja’s lawyer, noted that the application was premature.
Ismail held that the exhibits attached to Uja’s application did not say the defendant was not fit to fail trial but indicated that his mind was not well sounded. He posited that though the constitution guarantees every Nigerian liberty, the court has the capacity to deprive a person of his liberty based on health grounds.
