The Court of Appeal has voided the decision of the Osun State Governorship Tribunal nullifying the election of Senator Ademola Adeleke as governor of the state.
The Court on Friday upheld the election of the governor held on July 16,2023 in which he beat his closest rival and seating governor,Gboyega Oyetola.
Adeleke and his party, the PDP had challenged the ruling of the Tribunal sacking him as governor of the state and requested the court to overturn the nullification of his election.
Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress APC had approached the Tribunal claiming irregularities.
