The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital has nullified the election of Senator Ademola Adeleke and declared Adegboyega Oyetola as governor of Osun state.
The Osun State gubernatorial election was conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC on 16th July 2022 of which Adeleke was declared the winner.
However, dissatisfied with the outcome of the election, the All Progressives Congress APC challenged the decision at the Tribunal claiming that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System ( BVAS)did not capture results in about 749 polling units.
